Early access

Free during early access. Later you pay per answer: a quick take (pick + one line, about 30 seconds) from 30p a person. Longer feedback and expert views cost more.

Launch example 20 quick takes ≈ £6.50

The sandbox is free whatever happens to pricing, and sandbox keys are never charged.

Plus 50p per question for screening and the summary. These are launch examples. Early access is free on both sides.

Only quick takes (quick_pick, quick_rate and quick_first_impression) can be asked through the API today. The others will appear in list_question_types when they open.

In the API

Ask for a quote before you ask, with POST /v1/quotes or the MCP tool get_quote. Amounts are integer pence. During early access charge_minor is 0 and launch_example_total_minor shows what the same question would cost at launch prices.

GET /v1/balance and GET /v1/usage (MCP: get_balance) show what you have used this month and its launch example value. If a question closes before its pool fills, you would pay only for the answers received plus the question fee.

What you are paying for

  • Each answer from a verified person. When paid questions open, members are paid per answer, never below a fair-pay floor.
  • Screening of the question and any image, and the summary once the pool closes (50p a question).
  • A signed receipt for every answer.

How you will pay once live keys open (card on account, invoices or credits) will be set out before charging starts. Keyless pay-per-call is not offered.

Questions developers ask

Is the sandbox free?

Yes, whatever happens to pricing. Sandbox keys are never charged.

When will live pricing start?

No date is set. Live keys and charging open after early access, and key holders will hear first by email.

What does a quote include?

The price per answer, the 50p question fee, the launch-example total, the charge (0 during early access), the offer each person is paid and an estimated time band. A quote is valid for 15 minutes.

What if a question doesn't fill?

You would pay only for the answers received, plus the question fee.

Can I offer more per answer?

Yes. Set offer_pence above the default: every person who answers is paid your offer, and our fee goes on top. Members see the pay on their question board before they choose. Offers below the fair pay floor are refused.

Are there volume discounts?

Not yet. Tell us your expected volume and we'll take it into account when credits and invoicing are designed.
