For askers
Ideas, feedback and testing from real people.
Test two options, or get first reactions to your design, name, homepage or product photo. Ask 5 to 50 verified people in the UK and see their picks, their reasons and a short summary, usually within about 15 minutes.

Why people use it
Verified people
Every answer comes from a verified person.
About 15 minutes
We aim for first answers within about 15 minutes.
Reasons, not just votes
Each person adds a line of why, and you get a summary.
What can you ask real people?
Members answer without being told who asked. They may still recognise a brand or image you show them.
Websites
“Look at this homepage. What do you think we do?”
Names
“Which name feels more trustworthy for a savings app: Fernwell or Quickbox?”
Designs
“Which of these two packaging designs would you pick up?”
Product photos
“How much does this photo make you want the product? 1 is not at all, 5 is a lot.”
Messages
“How does this email come across? 1 is rude, 5 is friendly.”
Prices
“Is £12 cheap, fair or too much for this?”
For reactions to things you’ve made or are deciding on. Not for legal, medical, financial or trade advice: those questions are turned away at review.
Everything you can test
Want to ask real people a question? Start with one decision and choose the page that fits it. Each example is a quick reaction from a small group, not a representative study.

Who answers your questions
Adults in the UK who have joined to give honest first reactions, in their own words. Using AI tools or automation to answer is not allowed.
UK adults, 18 or over
Members confirm they are 18 or over and live in the UK when they join.
Invited, with a passkey
During early access people join by personal invitation and sign in with a passkey on their own device.
Answering blind
They don’t see your name or business, or anyone else’s answer first.
Checked, with a person reviewing
Paste is blocked, there is a minimum time on each question and known-answer checks are mixed in. Anything that looks automated is held for a person to review.
How asking works
Write your question
Keep it neutral and under 280 characters. Add an image (PNG, JPEG or WebP) or two to three options if you want people to choose. Links aren’t allowed yet, so upload a screenshot instead.
Choose the answer type and how many people
From 5 to 50 people. A quick take is a pick or a rating with one line of why. You see the total before anything is sent.
We check it
During early access a person reviews every question and image before members see it, and may suggest neutral wording. Questions that ask for personal data, reviews, personal or professional advice, or anything unlawful are turned down with a reason.
Watch the answers arrive
Results build as people answer. When the pool closes you get the split, every line of why, a short summary at the top, and a signed receipt for each answer.
What it’s good for, and what it isn’t
Good for
First impressions, picking between options, spotting what confuses people, testing tone, and hearing reasons in people’s own words. People answer without seeing your name or anyone else’s choice first, which helps you get unbiased feedback. Small pools give you a quick steer; bigger pools give you a steadier one.
Not built for
- Statistically representative research. Answers come from a mix of verified UK adults; choosing who answers by age, region or interest is planned, not live.
- Regulated advice. Expert views are planned for later as professional opinions, not legal, medical or financial advice. That format is not open.
- Reviews or testimonials. You can’t publish answers as customer reviews; the terms forbid it. The CMA’s review guidance explains the UK ban on fake reviews.
- Anything you need to keep from every outside eye. Members see your question on their own screens.
Priced per answer

Plus 50p per question for screening and the summary. These are launch examples. Early access is free on both sides.
Plus 50p per question for screening and the summary. These are launch examples. Early access is free on both sides, and you always see the total before you ask. If a question closes before its pool fills, you pay only for the answers received plus the question fee.
How pricing works
Early access is free on both sides. These are the launch examples for when paid questions open.
Pay per answer, not per survey
At paid launch, choose a quick take and how many people. The launch example is from 30p a person, plus 50p a question for screening and the summary. Longer feedback and expert views are planned for later.
You see the number first
When paid questions open, askers will see the price before asking and members will see the pay before answering. Expert rates are planned for a later release.
Five tips for a useful answer
Ask one thing at a time
Two questions in one get half an answer to each.
Don’t hint at the answer you want
“Which do you prefer?” beats “Isn’t B better?”
Give options that differ in one way
Then you know what people reacted to.
Use 20 people when the decision matters
Five is a quick steer.
Read the lines of why, not just the split
The reasons are where the surprises are.
Questions about asking
Is it free?
Yes, during early access. Asking and answering are both free while we build our founding community. When paid questions open, askers pay per answer and see the price before they ask.
How fast are answers?
We aim for first answers within about 15 minutes in UK daytime, and you can watch them come in. During early access, with a small group of members, it can take longer. You will always see an estimate before you ask. It is an estimate, not a promise.
How many people should I ask?
Five gives you a quick steer. Twenty is a sensible default when you're choosing between options. Up to 50 when the decision matters. Small pools are noisy, so read the reasons as well as the split.
What can I upload?
Text up to 280 characters, and one image (PNG, JPEG or WebP). For an A/B test, put the options side by side in one image or use two to three text options. Links and web pages aren't allowed yet; upload a screenshot instead.
Is my question confidential?
Questions are shown only to the people answering them, without your name or business, and never in a public feed. Members see them on their own screens, so don't upload anything you couldn't show to a stranger yet.
Who owns what I upload, and the answers?
You keep the rights in what you upload, and you can use the answers for your own decisions. You can't present them as customer reviews or testimonials. Formal confidentiality and ownership terms for business use are planned before paid questions open.
Can I choose who answers?
Not yet. Each question goes to a mix of verified UK adults. Choosing people by things like age, region or what they buy is planned.
What questions aren't allowed?
Anything that asks for personal data, targets a real person, asks members to write reviews, needs regulated advice, or is sexual, violent, hateful or unlawful. Images must be yours to share, and people shown in them must have agreed.
What happens if a question is turned down?
You get a reason, and usually a suggested rewrite. During early access a person reviews every question and image before anyone sees it.
How much will asking cost later?
Nothing during early access. The paid-launch example is from 30p a person for a quick take, plus a 50p fee per question. 20 quick takes come to about £6.50. Short answers, considered feedback and expert views are planned for later, with prices shown before you ask.
Can I pay for honest feedback?
Asking is free during early access. At paid launch, quick takes start from 30p an answer plus 50p a question (launch example). The quote appears before you send a question, and answers come from people who do not see your name or anyone else’s choice first.
Ask us before you ask them
Not sure your question fits, or worried about confidentiality? Send it to us first through the help and support form. A real person replies, usually within 2 working days.
