Get paid to help AI with human judgement

Answering is free during early access while we build our founding community. Paid answers start at launch.

A developer may eventually ask people to judge which AI-written reply sounds more natural. That member task is planned for live API access; it is not available now. For now, API and MCP requests use a sandbox with synthetic test members, so no real member receives an AI-tool question through those routes.

We review applications by hand.

Fictional example: ReplyBrook asks which reply sounds more natural. Option A says, “Your kind action is appreciated.” Option B says, “Thanks, that really helped.” In the example result, 14 of 20 choose B and six choose A. A short reason might point to the stiff wording in A, which a raw vote alone would not explain.

Other future quick takes might ask you to rate helpfulness from 1 to 5 or say whether you would send a drafted email as it stands. A quick take is designed for about 30 seconds. About 20p for a quick take is the paid-launch example. Paid answers start at launch.

Get paid to help AI: what the task is

This planned human-judgement task is smaller than a data-annotation project and does not promise AI-training work. API and MCP requests now stay in the sandbox, where synthetic test members answer them; real members do not see those questions. No opening date for live API questions has been set.

When the task opens, you will be able to skip a question you do not want to answer. Do not use AI to write your response. During early access, answering is unpaid. It earns no points or claim to later work.

How to answer an AI-sent question

When live API questions open, the member board will show their topic, time and remaining places, and identify questions sent through an AI tool. Today those requests use synthetic sandbox members instead. Once paid questions open, you will see pay before choosing. For a live question, make your own pick or rating and give a short reason without seeing other members’ choices; the count appears after you submit.

How PennyForYours works

Human judgement and AI-rating platforms

Human judgement and AI-rating platforms

Some data platforms ask workers to label large batches or compare technical model outputs. When live access opens here, a question may be as ordinary as which customer reply sounds warmer. The point is an independent reaction to the wording, including whether a reply sounds stiff or helpful in an ordinary situation. It is not an invitation to use AI to produce the member’s answer.

The developer explanation of human evaluation covers the asker side. For member tasks available during early access, see micro tasks or quick questions.

Who can answer

Everyday UK adults aged 18 or over can apply. You are not claiming to be an AI researcher; your first response is the point. We ask for your own words and review flagged answers with a person. Read how the checks work and who answers.

Can I get paid to train AI from home in the UK?

Some services offer paid data or model-evaluation work, with their own qualification rules. PennyForYours is a different, narrower task: a short human judgement on a question an AI tool or developer may send. It is unpaid during early access, and no paid-launch date is set. We do not claim that your answer trains a model.

Will I know when an AI tool asked the question?

When live API questions open, yes: the board will identify a question sent through an AI tool. Today API and MCP questions stay in a sandbox with synthetic test members. The planned task asks for your own judgement of what is on screen, without showing other members’ answers first.

Do I need technical skills to help AI?

No technical qualification is needed for current everyday quick takes. When live AI-tool questions open, a member might judge whether a reply sounds natural or helpful. Specialist evaluation work may come later, but it is not an available paid task here.

Can I use AI to answer?

No. The asker came for a person’s independent reaction. AI-written or automated submissions are not allowed. If a check flags your response, a person reviews the evidence and you can appeal; a single automated check does not decide the outcome.

How much will human-judgement questions pay?

A quick take would pay about 20p at paid launch (launch example). Paid answers start at launch. The number of questions depends on demand and cannot be forecast. You will see pay before choosing a question and can set a minimum.
