Earn money in spare time, one quick answer at a time
Answering is free during early access while we build our founding community. Paid answers start at launch.
If you want to earn money in spare time now, some options already pay; PennyForYours is unpaid until launch. Its quick takes ask for one choice or rating and a line of why. The board may be empty, so factor in the time spent checking it as well as the time spent answering.
We review applications by hand.

Make money in spare time with one question
Make money in spare time, one question at a time
Example: GreenMiles asks, “Which walk would you try?” The choices are Park loop and Green trail. In the example result, 14 of 20 choose Park loop. A brief reason from each person lets the asker see whether the choice came from the name, the route or something else.
Other questions might ask which of two flyers catches your eye, or how a message sounds on a scale from 1 to 5. A quick take is designed for about 30 seconds. About 20p for a quick take is the paid-launch example. Paid answers start at launch.
Earn money in free time without a shift
Earn money in free time without a fixed schedule
There is no shift to book or target to meet. The catch is availability: questions arrive only when someone asks, and they can fill before you choose. Some evenings may bring none. This is for spare moments, not a guaranteed income or an alternative to a job.
During early access, answering is unpaid. It earns no points or place in a paid queue. You may answer to try the service, or wait until paid questions open. Either way, you must be at least 18 and live in the UK.
How to earn money in spare time at launch
Choose a topic. At paid launch, the board shows pay and places left; set a minimum and skip freely. You answer without seeing the asker or other members’ choices. After submitting, you see the count. The earnings area stays in its free-phase state.
For joining details, use the member hub. The answering walk-through shows each step.

Earn cash in spare time: compare the options
Short answers and longer surveys
If you want to earn cash in spare time, a quick take fits a short gap, but pay begins only at launch and no question may be waiting. Count time spent checking the board. Longer surveys may suit a clear stretch; screening and cash-out rules vary.
Other ways to make money in spare time
If you need money now, selling something you already own may be more useful, provided you can photograph, list and post it. A booked shift gives you a clearer plan for your hours; tutoring depends on finding someone who needs your subject. Check the work involved and when each option actually pays before choosing how to use an evening. A list of ideas is a starting point, not an earnings forecast.

Who can answer
UK adults can give first reactions on everyday questions, whether they are at home, on a break or travelling within the UK. No special qualification is needed for these quick takes, and AI must not write the answer. See how we check responses and questions for everyday people.

Your questions, answered
How can I earn money in my spare time in the UK?
Start with the time you can commit and when you need payment. Paid shifts, selling items, tutoring and survey panels work differently from PennyForYours’s single-question tasks. Here you choose when to check the board, but early-access answers are unpaid and there is no paid-launch date. See the guide to legitimate earning options for routes that may already pay.
Can I make money from home in my spare time?
When paid answers open, a UK member will be able to answer from home in a browser. You can also use a phone during a break. The limiting factor is whether an open question is waiting, not where you sit. At present, every early-access answer is optional and unpaid.
How much can I earn in my spare time here?
We cannot give a weekly figure. A quick take would pay about 20p at paid launch (launch example). Paid answers start at launch. The number of questions will depend on demand, and you can set a minimum pay before deciding whether a question is worthwhile for you.
Do I have to commit to set hours?
No. There are no shifts or minimum answers. You may open the board when it suits you, choose a question or skip it. An empty board means there is nothing to answer. Being active during early access does not promise future paid work.
When does pay start for spare-time answers?
There is no announced date. During early access, answering is unpaid. Founding members will be told when paid questions become available, and the pay will be shown before a member chooses one. Cash-out details will be confirmed before that launch.
Do I need to pay tax on spare-time earnings?
Paid answers may be taxable alongside other spare-time earnings. The trading allowance is not renewed for each site or task; see HMRC’s trading-allowance guidance and our trading allowance guide before relying on it. This is general information, not tax advice.
