From a 30-second reaction to an expert view

Ways to take part

Everyone starts as a verified member, and every answer is priced per answer, by answer type.

Three ways to answer

  • Quick reactions

Anyone verified, 18 or over, in the UK.

Pick or rate, plus one line of why. About 30 to 45 seconds each, on your phone, whenever a question arrives.

  • Considered feedback

Proven members: people with a record of thoughtful, honest answers and no upheld reports.

Short answers of two or three sentences, or a paragraph or list of points. A few minutes each.

  • Verified experts

Professionals whose credentials we check in the field they answer in.

Considered views in your area at your own rate, shown to the asker before they ask. Opinions from verified professionals, not regulated advice.

How pay is worked out

You set your own minimum for each kind of answer and see the pay before you answer. No answer type pays below a floor based on the UK National Living Wage and the average time members take on that type, so a longer answer always pays more. We review the floor when the wage or the average time changes.

Askers pay the member’s pay plus our fee, and a 50p fee per question covers screening and the summary.

Who can do what

Tiers apply once the longer answer types open. During early access, Standing is visible but doesn’t change what you’re offered.

Questions about answer types and pay

All questions, grouped by topic

Why does a quick take cost the asker more than the member earns?

The asker pays the member’s pay plus our fee, which covers checking that answers come from people and running the service. Each question also has a 50p fee for screening and the summary.

How do I become a Proven member?

By giving accurate, useful answers over time: Standing reflects known-answer checks, askers' ratings and whether your picks matched the asker's final choice. The exact thresholds will be published when the longer answer types open.

Can I set my own price?

Yes. When paid questions open, you set your own minimum for each kind of answer and see the pay before you answer; askers make offers at or above it. Experts set their own rate.

Are these prices final?

They're launch examples. Early access is free on both sides, and you'll always see the price or pay before you ask or answer.

What is an idea brief?

A later format where an asker posts a problem and a prize pool, members submit ideas blind to a deadline, and the best ideas share the pool.
