Best survey sites UK: an honest comparison
About 7 minutes to read.
The best survey sites UK residents can use depend on what they want to receive and how long they can wait to withdraw it. We compared three established options using their own help pages on 7 October 2026. This is a sourced selection, not a claim that we tested payouts or ranked every UK site.

Key points
- Qmee lists cash rewards and no minimum PayPal withdrawal, subject to its account rules (Qmee FAQ).
- Prolific focuses on research studies; its cash-out threshold is a combined £6/$6 in approved GBP and USD balances (Prolific help).
- Google Opinion Rewards describes Play credit on Android and PayPal on eligible iOS accounts.
- Include the time spent waiting or qualifying when comparing rewards.
- Never pay to join a survey site. Check current terms and keep records of taxable income.
How we compared survey sites
We looked for the reward type, a published cash-out rule, UK availability and a clear explanation of who can take part. The table uses official provider pages checked on 7 October 2026. We did not open accounts, complete studies or receive withdrawals. It cannot tell you how many tasks a site will show you, because availability depends on your profile and what researchers need.
The best survey sites UK readers find will vary with what they want back. Someone who needs cash may rule out an Android app that offers Play credit, even if its questions are convenient. Someone drawn to academic research may accept a wait for an eligible study. Decide which trade-off matters to you before treating a list of sites as a ranking.
Best survey sites UK: three options compared
| Site | What you do | Reward and withdrawal | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Qmee | Commercial surveys and other optional offers | Cash rewards; its FAQ says PayPal cash-out has no minimum. Gift cards have set amounts. | Someone who wants short surveys and a low withdrawal barrier. |
| Prolific | Research studies offered to eligible participants | Approved balances can be cashed out via PayPal at a combined £6/$6 threshold, per its participant help page. | Someone interested in research, who is comfortable waiting for an eligible study and approval. |
| Google Opinion Rewards | Surveys sent through the app when available | Android help describes Google Play credit. iOS help describes PayPal payments once the account’s country-specific threshold is met. | Someone happy to answer app notifications and check their device's reward terms. |
These rows describe published rules, not a promise of eligibility or payment. Qmee notes that account and PayPal details must meet its conditions. Prolific uses a waitlist. Google says survey frequency varies. Read the linked terms again when you sign up; a provider can change them, and UK reward handling may differ by device or account.

Highest paying survey sites UK: what does “highest” mean?
Published reward and withdrawal rules cannot identify the highest paying survey sites UK for a particular person. They do not show how many studies you will qualify for or how often tasks appear. If you try a platform, note the time spent checking, screening and answering alongside approved rewards. After a week, compare what you could withdraw with the time you put in; a high offer you never qualified for should not set the benchmark.
Prolific's studies and Qmee's surveys serve different researchers, so a single “highest paying survey site” ranking would hide the differences. We have not measured a UK sample of payouts and will not invent one. A site may show you more opportunities because your profile suits a current study, then very few the next week. For a useful comparison, note your own completed tasks and when the money became available.
Example, not a provider result: One app offers a 50p survey that takes ten minutes plus a five-minute screener. Another offers 30p for five minutes with no additional qualification. The larger displayed reward is not automatically the better use of time. Then check whether either amount is withdrawable. The example is arithmetic to show the method, not evidence of a typical rate.
Legit survey sites UK: checks before you sign up
Legit survey sites UK residents can join should make their terms easy to find. Start at the provider's own website or app-store listing. Find its terms, privacy notice, support route and withdrawal explanation. A legitimate survey platform should tell you the form of reward and what needs to happen before it is approved. Do not pay a fee just to access surveys. Be wary of a message that moves you to an unfamiliar chat, asks for a bank login or tells you to transfer money to release earnings.
Look at the personal information a survey requests. Some screening questions are normal because researchers need a particular group. A request for credentials or unrelated identity documents needs a stronger explanation. If the operator's name, reward conditions or complaints route are hard to find, leave before you share details. The screen-out guide explains what to ask when a platform often rejects you.

Best survey apps UK: check the reward on your device
App availability alone is not enough to compare rewards. Google Opinion Rewards is the clearest example: its Android help describes Google Play credit, while its iOS help describes PayPal payments. Google’s iOS availability page lists the UK among supported countries and says the app sends surveys when they are available. Check which version you have before assuming that a screenshot of someone else's payout applies to you.
Qmee says its app is available on Android and iOS as well as a desktop site. Prolific presents studies to eligible participants and lets them cash out an approved balance. Those are different habits: browsing a list, waiting for a research study and answering an app notification. Choose the one you will actually use, then read its current withdrawal terms. A list of best survey apps UK without the device and cash-out details is incomplete.
Where quick answers fit
A longer survey can collect several kinds of data and recruit a particular audience. PennyForYours is designed around one short question: choose an option or rate something, then give a reason. A question can fill before you choose it, but you will not be screened out after starting. We are not a full survey platform and cannot claim to replace a targeted study.
Answering is free during early access while we build our founding community. Paid answers start at launch. No date has been set, and joining now does not promise future paid work. If you need a paid option now, compare the active sites above on their current terms.

Where PennyForYours fits
PennyForYours offers a short opinion question, not a place in this ranking. Members choose what to answer and see the question before starting. There is no screen-out after a question starts, although it may fill beforehand. Answering is free during early access while we build our founding community. Paid answers start at launch. Read how quick questions differ from paid surveys before applying.
