Surveys for money: quick questions instead

Answering is free during early access while we build our founding community. Paid answers start at launch.

If you are looking for surveys for money, PennyForYours offers a much smaller task: one pick or rating and a short reason, designed for about 30 seconds. You can see whether a question is open before you start. The board is unpaid until launch.

We review applications by hand.

Quick surveys for money become one question

Quick surveys for money become single questions here

Example: SundayCounter asks, “Which café greeting feels warmer?” The options are “Hello” and “Come in”. Fourteen of 20 example members choose “Hello”. A reason such as “It feels more personal” helps the asker understand the split; the numbers alone cannot explain it.

Another question could ask which savings-app name feels more trustworthy, or show a shop window and ask what you think the shop sells. These are quick takes of about 30 seconds. About 20p for a quick take is the paid-launch example. Paid answers start at launch.

Short surveys for money: the honest limits

What one-question tasks can and cannot offer

This is one question at a time, so it will not give you the volume of a large survey panel. An empty board means there is nothing to answer. Even when there are questions, you may see none on a topic that interests you. There is no set shift or earning target. During early access, answering is unpaid.

Members must be at least 18 and live in the UK. Answering is voluntary; a response today does not secure paid work later.

How a member answers

Choose a question from the board. On the answer screen, make your pick or rating, add one line of why and submit. You answer blind, without the askers’ identity or other people’s choices. After submission, you see counts only, such as “13 others chose what you chose”. That avoids your answer being swayed by an early majority.

The member page explains who can join, and the process is set out step by step.

How PennyForYours works

Online surveys for money compared with quick takes

Online surveys for money versus quick takes

Some survey studies use screening questions to decide whether someone continues. Prolific's participant guidance gives one example of in-study screening and says it pays for the screening questions; other panels set their own rules. A quick take is one question with a short reason; once you start it, there is no later eligibility screen. The short format is useful when you have only a minute, provided a question is open. It will pay a small amount per answer at launch; you may find a longer study more worthwhile when you have time to complete one. There are no points or vouchers on this platform.

The guide to whether survey sites are worth it covers the trade-offs. You can compare UK paid survey options or product feedback questions.

Who can join

Everyday UK adults can apply; no research qualification is needed. We ask for your own words, without chatbots or automated submissions. You can skip anything you do not want to answer. Read how answers are checked and the page for everyday people.

Your questions, answered

What are the best surveys for money in the UK?

That depends on whether you value frequent invitations, a specific subject or a short task. PennyForYours has single questions rather than a full survey panel, and early-access answers are unpaid. For survey panels, check official reward and screening terms before signing up. Our UK survey-site guide is the better place for a comparison.

Are short surveys for money worth it?

They can suit someone who enjoys answering in a spare minute, provided the reward matches the time they spend. Here, the task itself is short, but availability is uncertain and the amount per answer at paid launch is small. During early access there is no pay at all. Consider the total time spent checking the board as well as answering.

Can I do surveys for money on my phone?

You can answer PennyForYours questions in your phone’s browser. Each task shows one question, sometimes with an image, and asks you to pick or rate it and give a short reason. It is not a long mobile questionnaire. You need to be an adult living in the UK to join as a member.

How much will I get per question?

A quick take would pay about 20p at paid launch (launch example). Paid answers start at launch. Longer answers are planned to pay more when those formats are introduced. You will see the pay before choosing a question and may set your own minimum; no answer is paid during early access.

Is there a minimum payout?

Cash-out rules, including any minimum, have not been set out yet. They will be confirmed before paid questions open, so do not plan around a particular withdrawal amount or speed. During early access there are no earnings to withdraw. Payment at launch is planned in pounds to a UK bank account.

Is money from online surveys taxable?

Pay for answers can be taxable. HMRC’s trading-allowance guidance explains how the allowance applies to qualifying income across your activities; our trading allowance guide summarises the rule for small online tasks. This is general information, not tax advice.

When do paid single-question tasks start?

No date has been announced. During early access, answering is unpaid and optional. Founding members will hear when paid questions open; answering now does not earn a future payment. Withdrawal rules will be published before any paid task appears.
