Micro tasks: quick questions, paid per answer
Answering is free during early access while we build our founding community. Paid answers start at launch.
These micro tasks are small opinion jobs in your browser. You might pick a repair-shop logo, rate a customer reply or say what a homepage appears to sell. Each asks for your own reason; there is no paid task queue yet.

Quick tasks for money: what you do
A pick, rating and reason
A question might ask which logo feels right for a repair shop. Another could show a reply and ask you to rate how helpful it sounds from 1 to 5. A first-impression task may show a homepage and ask what you think the business does. You add one short reason to make your choice useful.
These pick, rate and first-impression tasks are designed for about 30 seconds. About 20p for a quick take is the paid-launch example. Paid answers start at launch. A longer “explain why” short-answer task shown in the example list is a planned format, not a live quick take.
Small tasks for money have small returns
Small tasks for money have small returns
This is not a queue of labelling jobs or a steady flow of tasks. Questions arrive when someone asks and can fill before you pick them. There is no set shift, qualification exam or hourly target. You can decide whether the stated pay at launch meets your own minimum and skip what does not.
During early access, answering is unpaid. There are no points or prizes in place of pay. Answering now does not entitle you to paid work later. Members must be adults living in the UK.
How members choose micro tasks
Look at the board for topic, estimated time and places left. At paid launch you will also see the pay before choosing. Take one question, answer blind in your own words and submit; another member’s pick cannot steer yours because you see only the result count afterwards. A place can go while you are browsing, so choose an open question when you are ready.

Micro task websites and opinion questions

If you are used to labelling images or checking records, the answer here may feel less clear-cut. The asker wants to know what a person actually prefers or notices, and your short reason matters as much as the pick. A quick take is paid per answer in pounds at launch. It has no screen-out once started, but the supply may be smaller than a broad task marketplace.
Our Clickworker comparison covers the difference, while paid question answering and human judgement for AI tools explain nearby task types.
Who can answer
Any adult in the UK can apply to give an honest reaction; this lane does not require a data annotation background. AI-written answers are not allowed. We use several checks and a person reviews anything flagged rather than letting a single automated signal decide. See our trust process and everyday-member questions.

Your questions, answered
What are micro tasks?
Micro tasks are small pieces of work completed separately rather than as a long assignment. They can range from data labelling to checking information or giving an opinion. PennyForYours concentrates on short human-judgement questions: one pick or rating and a reason. It does not currently offer a general data-task queue.
What are the best micro task sites in the UK?
The right site depends on whether you want data work, surveys or opinion questions, and on each site’s current eligibility and payment rules. Our Clickworker comparison explains one difference without claiming a universal winner. PennyForYours is still unpaid during early access, so it cannot meet a need for paid work now.
Are quick tasks for money worth it?
They can be worthwhile if the pay for each task fits the time you spend finding and completing it. Here the quick takes are short and optional, but the amount per answer at launch is small and availability depends on askers. Do not calculate a steady hourly rate from the duration of one example task.
Is Amazon Mechanical Turk still open?
Check Amazon’s current official Mechanical Turk notice before making plans around its availability. Platform status can change, and this page does not depend on a closure claim. Our MTurk alternatives page should be checked against Amazon on the day it is published.
How much do micro tasks pay here?
A quick take would pay about 20p at paid launch (launch example). Paid answers start at launch. The pay is shown before you choose a question, and you can set your own minimum. Longer answer types are planned for later, but early-access answers earn nothing.
Do I pay tax on micro task earnings?
Pay from small tasks can be taxable. The allowance is considered across eligible income, not separately for each task site; check HMRC’s trading-allowance guidance and our trading allowance guide. This is general information, not tax advice.
When do paid micro tasks start here?
A date has not been set. During early access, answering is unpaid. Founding members will hear when paid questions are ready, and the pay will be visible before choosing one. Completing an early-access question does not reserve paid work.
