Amazon split testing before you go live
Amazon split testing with live shoppers takes a listing and eligible traffic. If you are still choosing an image or title, a quick pretest can help narrow the options before you use an Amazon split testing tool. Show two drafts to verified UK adults and hear why they pick one. We aim for first answers within about 15 minutes in UK daytime; replies can be slower for now.
We review requests by hand.

Questions for an Amazon split testing tool
Keep the product the same and change the item you are deciding, such as the first image or title.
- Example: Which TideNest travel-mug image would you click: mug alone on white, or mug open with lid and sleeve?
- Which title tells you more about the product?
- What does this photo suggest about the mug's size?
This is a pre-listing opinion check. It does not place an experiment on Amazon or use Amazon shopper data.
What the image pretest returns
Illustrative TideNest example: 14 of 20 choose B, with the lid and sleeve visible; six choose A. The mock reasons say B shows useful detail, while A feels plain. The seller might try a more informative image, then measure its performance on the actual listing. These votes are stated choices, not clicks or sales.

Amazon A/B testing before a listing change
- Put two listing-image drafts side by side in one picture. Avoid marketplace logos and keep both product views equally legible.
- Choose 5 to 50 UK adults and ask one neutral question. They answer blind.
- Read every reason, revise the candidate, then run a live experiment if your Amazon account and listing qualify.
See other tests for product decisions when the name, packaging or price is still open.
How Amazon Manage Your Experiments differs
A shopper has very little time to infer size, parts and use from an image. Outside reactions can catch a missing detail before you invest in a change. Amazon's Manage Your Experiments tests versions on eligible live detail pages and reports behaviour; it requires a Professional selling account and a Brand Representative role for a brand in Brand Registry (Amazon, checked 7 October 2026). Our pretest asks people what they think before that stage.
Honest limit: Participants are mixed UK adults, not necessarily Amazon shoppers. A stated click preference cannot forecast conversion. This service is not affiliated with Amazon and cannot alter a live listing. The signed receipt for each answer shows the checks passed, but it does not turn this pool into live marketplace traffic. Read about those checks.

What the pretest costs
Asking is free during early access. The paid-launch example starts from 30p an answer plus 50p a question; 20 quick takes would be about £6.50. You see the quote before posting.
Your questions, answered
How does Amazon A/B testing work?
Eligible sellers can use Amazon's Manage Your Experiments to compare versions of listing content on live product pages. Amazon says it tests images, titles, bullet points, descriptions and A+ Content. If you are not ready for a live test, ask for a quick outside reaction to two drafts first. Amazon's official tool page was checked 7 October 2026.
Does Amazon Manage Your Experiments require Brand Registry?
Amazon says Manage Your Experiments requires a Professional selling account and a Brand Representative role for a brand enrolled in Brand Registry. Product eligibility also depends on recent traffic. These are Amazon's published conditions, checked 7 October 2026; verify them in your own Seller Central account before planning a live experiment.
How long does an Amazon experiment take?
Amazon says its default setting runs until there is enough data to declare a winner; some results can arrive from four weeks. For a chosen duration it recommends eight to ten weeks. That is Amazon's published guidance, checked 7 October 2026, not a timing promise for a particular listing.
Can I test an image before my listing has sales?
Yes, you can ask people here which draft they find clearer before the listing has traffic. It is a preference pretest from UK adults, not a live Amazon experiment. The result may help choose a candidate to publish, then you can use real marketplace data when it becomes available.
Can these answers be used as product reviews?
No. They are private opinions to help your own decision, not customer reviews or endorsements for a product listing. Do not copy them into a review system or present an illustrative example as a real customer response. The reasons are for understanding an image, not manufacturing social proof.
What does an Amazon image pretest cost?
It is free to ask during early access. At paid launch, quick takes start from 30p an answer plus 50p a question (launch example), so 20 would be about £6.50. The actual price is quoted before posting. The fee pays for a question and the number of quick takes you choose; no live Amazon experiment is included.
