A Splitly alternative, now Splitly has closed

A Splitly alternative now has to account for its closure. Jungle Scout says Splitly closed on 15 September 2021 [1]. Amazon now offers its own Manage Your Experiments tool to eligible sellers [2]. PennyForYours is a pre-listing opinion check, not a live sales split test. Last checked: 7 October 2026.

Splitly alternative: live test or pre-launch poll

Splitly tested live listing variants before it closed. The remaining options answer different questions at different stages of an Amazon listing.

A live experiment and an off-platform poll should not be merged into one ‘winner’. Use the poll to narrow creative options. Use an eligible live test to learn what real shoppers do after the listing receives traffic.

Choose the test from the evidence you need

Choose Amazon's live experiment when you can

Amazon's UK seller materials describe Manage Your Experiments for listing content [2]. It is the better route when you have an eligible brand and product, enough traffic and a question about clicks or sales. Check the tool inside your Seller Central account before planning the test; Amazon says eligibility depends on traffic [3].

Choose a pre-listing poll for first impressions

A seller without a live listing can still compare two main-image candidates. The example TideNest mug card shows image B getting 14 choices and A getting six among 20 people. Reasons say B shows the detail and handle more clearly. That example is illustrative, not measured research. It suggests what to improve before submitting a compliant listing image, not which version will sell more.

Amazon image questions on PennyForYours are independent feedback. There is no Amazon sales integration or traffic allocation. Main-image testing can make the prompt more specific, while PickFu's panel may suit a targeted shopper sample.

Check two listing images before launch

Put two image candidates side by side in one upload and ask a neutral question such as ‘Which mug image would you click?’ Members choose an option and give one line of why. The current group contains 5 to 50 UK adults without demographic targeting. Their answers are blind to earlier votes and to the seller's name.

The result shows the split, every reason and a short unnamed summary, with a signed receipt for each answer. A receipt lists checks an answer passed; it cannot tell you whether the respondent would buy on Amazon. Our trust page explains the process. Use the qualitative reasons to spot a missing angle, scale cue or confusing product detail.

Asking is free during invitation-only early access. At paid launch, the quick-take example starts at 30p an answer plus 50p a question. A group of 20 would be about £6.50 at those launch-example rates. We aim for first answers within about 15 minutes in UK daytime, with slower returns possible during early access.

Example image test results: A 6, B 14, with reasons such as “B shows detail” and “A feels plain”

How PennyForYours works in detail

From shortlist to eligible live experiment

First confirm what you can test. If you have an eligible live listing with traffic, check Manage Your Experiments in Seller Central [2], [3]. If you are preparing images before listing, make two clear alternatives and ask what shoppers notice. Do not claim a preference result predicts conversion or that this service is affiliated with Amazon.

Request early access for a quick opinion test. The asking guide explains the current image format, and seller examples show how a small test can precede a listing decision. PennyForYours is run in the UK; read who is behind it. For a format question, a real person replies.

Your questions, answered

All questions by topic

Is Splitly still available?

No. Jungle Scout's official Splitly page says the product was discontinued on 15 September 2021 [1]. A current page advertising Splitly as a live testing service would be misleading. Check Jungle Scout's own notice rather than an old tool roundup.

What replaced Splitly?

There is no single direct replacement for every use. Amazon's Manage Your Experiments can run eligible live listing tests [2], [3]. A pre-listing poll can help narrow image or wording options, but it collects stated opinions rather than sales behaviour. Pick the route from the decision you need to make.

How can I split test an Amazon listing now?

Check Manage Your Experiments in your Seller Central account and the eligibility of the product you want to test. Amazon lists the tool for its UK sellers [2], and an official seller note says recent traffic affects eligibility [3]. If you are not eligible, you can still gather pre-launch feedback, with the limitation made clear.

Can I test an image before I have sales?

Yes, with a pre-listing opinion question. PennyForYours can show two image candidates side by side and ask UK adults which is clearer, with one-line reasons. That helps improve a creative shortlist. It does not measure actual clicks, purchase intent or Amazon conversion.

Is PennyForYours affiliated with Amazon?

No. PennyForYours is an independent UK service for short feedback questions. It does not run experiments inside Amazon, move traffic between listing variants or access your Seller Central data. Amazon is mentioned here only to describe the seller's available testing routes.

What does a pre-listing question cost?

Asking is free during invitation-only early access. At paid launch, a quick take starts from 30p an answer plus 50p a question (launch example); 20 responses would be about £6.50 at those example rates. That buys one small opinion check, not a live split test.
